Than Tho lake

It is located in the North, far away from center about 6km, Than Tho Lake is one of beautiful natural tourist attractions in Dalat. The lake is situated on a high hill surrounded by tranquil green pine trees creating the quiet peaceful feelings, which attracts numerous tourists who love to explore romantic natural landscapes and soak up the stunning scenery.

 

Here has natural lake but French people built up tightly the lake contains and  gave a name is “lacdes soupirs”. This name have two me are is the wide barrier and also lament. In 18^th century, here was witnessed a faithful love with full of tear, so people called it “Than Tho lake”.

In addition to the name “Than Tho lake” visitors are also remained to the name “Suong Mai” which means dendrop dawn. When the dawn dawned, in the pines remain dendrop in branch and leaves. Than Tho Lake was recognized as cultural - historical relics in 1998. The landscapes in the lake is extremely poetic, the water flowing is relatively gentle and romantic along with the sounds of pine hills are peaceful. When tourists visit Than Tho lake, they will be had stroll on gree graa-pots and watch pines on surface of the lake. Moreover, they can participate a riding-horse senece around Lake to find inspriration of homads.
